CGEI Course Schedule (with links to register for individual courses)
Effective January 1, 2020, participants seeking certification in the CROAA Education and Certification Program will be required to successfully complete 72 hours of tested course work, which will include four 12-hour required courses and two 12-hour electives. Participants must attend the entire class in order to receive credit for the course. No “partial credit” will be granted. Additionally, all participants must pass an examination at the conclusion of each course. All tests will be open book.

The electives available for participants seeking certification or continuing education credit may change periodically.
Participants who began work toward their certification prior to January 1, 2020 will be given credit for all required and elective classes already taken with an adjustment of credit hours to fit the new system.
As in the past, the CROAA Education and Certification Program will be administered such that participants can obtain certification within two years of beginning the program.
The continuing education requirements for those persons who have received their certification under the Program are unchanged except that there will be a shift to 12 hour credit for CROAA and other CGEI courses. There will still be a requirement to complete 20 hours of continuing education within a two-year period. A County Revenue Update will be offered every other year and it is strongly recommended that certified participants take this class to stay abreast of new developments and procedures.
